do i have to continue? 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
i feel that it is hard to continue my studies because i can't seem to cover my expenses like rent and transportation anymore. as i've mentioned that i am a working student and my job's pay is not enough. i can't also find a good paying job because i am studying and can't commit with a full time duty. do you think i still have to continue with my studies?

Hello maricel_honey, I understand your situation and it is really difficult to say that you need to stop your studies because it is a good investment in the future especially when you will have a family of your own. Try to think things over and over and make use of all your possible resources just to continue with your studies.

Did you check all overtunities, when it comes to rent and transportation?

I mean there are student tickets for buses available and cheap rentings too.

Besides this, maybe you look for a second job. Nobody says it is easy to work and to study, but it is possible. I have done it, working hours as a cashier and at the weekend as a waitress.

It depends on your resources if it is impossible then try to stop but try to go back to school once you are ready both financially and emotionally.

My advice is for you to continue your studies as long as you can. But, if you think you cannot make enough time for school because of your work, then by all means stop and just save money for you to be able to go back to school again. Don't worry about stopping school for work as long as you're gonna continue it. You're going to work anyway either after you finished school.

Education is important but if you are having a really difficult time financing it then try apply for scholarship that would also include your board and lodging. There is an exam and required score for that before you will be a scholar.

Good point Laralee. It would be in your best interest if you're able to become a scholar. Then getting a small part-time job shouldn't be that hard for you.
