Most people confused a life insurance from the burial or funeral insurance. Basically, they have the same purpose in the end. The only difference that both have is the main purpose of the prepayments. The life insurance is for the reason that in case the policy holder dies the beneficiaries can have a certain amount to use to cover their daily survival for a period of time after the death. While the burial is in order to arrange the funeral expenses and less burden for the ones left behind.

BASED ON WHAT I'VE UNDERSTOOD, THE BURIAL INSURANCE IS CHEAPER BUT THE LIFE INSURANCE IS MORE ADVANTAGEOUS THAN THE LATER.

life insurance is more flexible and has a higher coverage. but it will depend on the policy that a plan holder is buying.

Actually you can have both to take advantage of the benefits and being able to help your loved ones carry out with the loss. It more on an investment and your peace of mind in case of leaving them behind.
