Shortage 9 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
As a cashier shortage is my worse nightmare. Every time I have a shortage it is like failing in an exam. Share your views on this.

that is really frustrating because i've witnessed such instances when the cashiers just can't avoid to have shortage due to a very busy task. it is like no matter how careful you are it just slips off and you have to pay for it.

Actually having a shortage is normal but I am confident that it can be avoided. I am an auditor and I understand some valid reasons from cashiers or tellers why they commit shortages but at least they learned from it and able to avoid it.

Why do you have shortage if you do your job well? Unless there are those who play around and may have tricked you with the money. A cashier task is very risky so be extra careful.

Exactly cathy! I just don't understand the reason why shortages occur if you are a person who does the task very well. You know what risks you will have so be alert and keen in every transaction.

Actually, I do my very best in handling my task well. I have experienced a co-worker stealing and made me pay for such shortage. I can't avoid such since there are really times when I get so busy and distracted in purpose.

Vethcarn, if you know how risky your situation is then try to do something to avoid such. Tell your supervisor about it and don't just suffer the consequences.

Thanks for the advise but I can't do it if I don't have any evidence.
